Brexit? Stiffen your backbones, says minister

Senator Sir Philip Bailhache made the comments on Tuesday as he briefed members of the Institute of Directors on what it could mean for Jersey if the British public votes to leave the EU in the referendum on 23 June.

Speaking at the Town Hall, Sir Philip said Jersey would need the UK’s assistance to recreate the Island’s current relationship with the European Union if Britain annexed itself from the EU.

He said that Brexit would leave Jersey in a somewhat uncertain position.
