LIBERTY Bus is investigating a collision between one of its vehicles and a taxi that brought rush-hour chaos to St Helier.
The incident happened outside the Pomme d’Or hotel at 6pm on Thursday, very soon after the bus on route 23 had left Liberation Station on its way to Trinity.
Liberty Bus director Kevin Hart said passengers from the vehicle had been directed towards alternative services, with the damaged bus taken out of service and being sent for repairs.
“As with any incident like this, an investigation has started and is ongoing,” he said.
It is understood that one passenger sustained minor injuries.
The incident brought lengthy delays for commuters and other motorists using Mulcaster Street, Conway Street and the Esplanade until both vehicles involved were moved from the carriageway.
