The new site went live at the start of February and features independent roles and States jobs, as well as positions from local recruitment agencies.
Luke Heynes, the JEP’s advertising director, said: ‘The ambition was to create a site that would quickly become the first port of call for local job-hunters.

You can visit the new site here and all feedback is welcomed by contacting Beverley Bingle on bbingle@jerseyeveningpost.com.
‘The site is easy to use and provides a comprehensive showcase of current, local jobs from the pages of the Jersey Evening Post, leading local recruitment agencies and the States of Jersey.’
The JEP’s head of digital media, Matthew Hotton, said: ‘The new jobs website has been a great success.
‘In its first month 15,869 referrals clicked through to follow up on specific vacancies on the recruiters own websites and we have served 88,930 pages to date.’
‘Job hunters can register their requirements and receive notifications of suitable vacancies by email, by using key words or specific-sector searches which select relevant roles, or browse categories filled with local vacancies.’
The new digital print business, KPS, was one of the first companies to use the site as it seeks to fill over 26 vacancies in the coming weeks, prior to printing all of the English newspapers and the JEP.
KPS also used the JEP’s web builder service to create a bespoke recruitment website to manage applications and promote the various roles available.
Alan Palin, KPS general manager, said: ‘We’ve been really impressed by the response we received from advertising in the JEP and also on the Jobs website and most of our applicants have completed their application process online saving a lot of time and allowing us to concentrate on interviewing the best candidates as quickly as possible.’
Andrew Baudains, the managing director of Baudains Executive Services, one of the local businesses advertising jobs on the JEP’s new site, said: ‘As a featured recruiter, BES has seen a 20 per cent increase in our own website activity since the beginning of February.
‘The combination of advertising in the JEP as well as all our jobs being advertised on the new jobs site works exceptionally well for our business.
‘At BES we update our own website constantly throughout the day so that candidates only see real, active jobs and the new jobs site is also updated several times throughout the day, which ensures that candidates are able to see new jobs as and when they are advertised on-line.
‘We have been impressed with the new enhanced site and we are confident that this new service will continue to assist us in providing a high quality and effective service to our candidates and client organisations.’
