‘I was surprised at the sheer scale of the event and the amount of people and effort that goes in to creating each float. I was exhausted after sticking a couple of flowers on, so how the guys and girls did it for two days is beyond me.
‘The Moonlight Parade was great and had a very different atmosphere to the day parade. Everything looked so different at night and there was a real party carnival feel around the place. (I’m sure everyone must have had a drink inside them too!)
‘I had the pleasure of being shown around by very welcoming hosts, so I got to visit various places and each one was very different from the next. It really is a beautiful Island and when the sun shines there is no nicer place. There are so many lovely restaurants too. I was very impressed with the food. I was made to feel so welcome everywhere I went.
‘I would love to return to Jersey for a longer visit, and when my schedule allows I plan to do just that.’
