HOUSING Minister Terry Le Main is appealing to landlords for help in housing 40 homeless victims of the Broadlands fire.

Many of the Portuguese and Polish residents did not have housing qualifications and are finding it extremely difficult to find a home in the Island.

The Housing Department is still appealing for anyone with family-sized non-qualified accommodation to get in touch.

Senator Le Main said: ‘The Housing Department has been able to offer the Broadlands victims temporary accommodation, but these families need a permanent home to allow them to move on with their lives. I appreciate that it is a particularly busy time of the year, but if there are any family-sized unqualified units coming available over the coming weeks I would ask landlords to please consider these families.’
