New Island record for Emily

After a challenging week, Bashforth twice broke her own Island record for the 100m freestyle which previously stood at 58.30, which she set in last year’s regional championships.

Her time of 58.29 seconds in the heat earned her a spot in the semi-final, where she broke the record once more with a time 58.17, although in a high-class field this did not prove to be enough for qualification to the final.
