The land in question is probably worth £14-15 million purely as a site and the buildings are unlikely to generate anywhere near this profit, so the JDC is not only restricting private enterprise but putting public money at risk for no return.
We, the public, have already suffered the disastrous effects of Senator Philip Ozouf’s financial enterprises.
Surely the States should concentrate on matters relating to the new hospital, which do involve the well-being of the Island, and cease to use public money in areas that are not their concern.
