Although more warm, dry conditions were expected today, forecasters said that unsettled periods were likely to return from tomorrow.
Sharon Merren, duty forecaster at the Jersey Met Office, said: ‘Today we are expecting temperatures to reach 18°C which would beat the current record for 2 November, which is currently 17.2°C, set in 1908.
‘But then we are expecting more cloud to come in overnight and the weather becoming more changeable after that.
‘Showers could come even from early tomorrow morning.’
While temperatures coaxed Islanders outdoors this weekend, surfers also headed to the beach to take advantage of a good swell.
November has proved an unpredictable month in the past for both unseasonably warm and cold conditions.
This morning the Met Office said that the earliest recorded snowfall came on 5 November 1980 when 6 cm of snow fell over an eight-hour period.
