Ernest Le Heuzé (55) was convicted in the Royal Court last week of 13 counts of downloading indecent pictures of children as young as six. He was suspended from his job in August 2002 shortly after being arrested and has been paid his full salary – plus bonuses and overtime allowances – ever since. Despite not working for almost four and a half years, Le Heuzé was paid at least £117,000. Health chief executive Mike Pollard today confirmed that a Health employee had been invited to a disciplinary hearing tomorrow afternoon. He said that he was unable to say whether or not that person was Le Heuzé. However, sources have confirmed that it is. Last week, Health Minister Stuart Syvret said: ‘Now he’s been convicted, he will be dismissed – unambiguously. He’s out of there and the prospects of him ever working at Health and Social Services again are over.’
