Our mission is to educate and inform, covering everything from market trends to blockchain technology. We answer the questions you didn’t even know you had, demystifying cryptocurrency one article at a time.
This week we cover the essentials, with three dos and don’ts for crypto beginners. If you’re thinking of starting your crypto journey but don’t know where to begin, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Dos:
- Do get a wallet: Like Moneybrain’s or Coinbase. Wallets are apps that hold your crypto assets, protected by passcodes.
- Do start small and learn: Begin with modest investments to understand market dynamics safely. Think of it as learning to swim in the shallow end before going deeper.
- Do use QR codes: When making transfers, they’re the most foolproof way to ensure your crypto goes where you intend.
Don’ts:
- Don’t invest more than you’re prepared to lose: Crypto can be volatile. Treat it with investment caution, not as gambling. Like any investment, there are risks.
- Don’t invest without understanding volatility: Bitcoin has been one of the best-performing assets over the years, with a capped supply of 21 million coins. However, cryptocurrencies, in general, can be volatile, and their value can fluctuate rapidly.
- Don’t download unregulated wallets: Make sure that the wallet or app you download is from a regulated firm.
