The Gold Coast 2018 gold medallists are set to touch down on Monday 26 July, as head coach Jess Thirlby gathers her side for the first time since unveiling her squad for the 2021/22 campaign.
Islander Serena Guthrie will be joined by the likes of fellow World Cup caps Jade Clarke and Layla Guscoth for the tour, which is set to include an open training session at Les Ormes and coaching opportunities for Jersey’s juniors.
The squad will use Strive Academy as their training base – a facility also booked by the British and Irish Lions and Premiership Rugby giants Leicester Tigers this summer.
‘It’s a massive deal, the Roses coming to Jersey,’ said Guthrie, who captained England at the 2019 World Cup in Liverpool.
‘It’s where it all began for me so it’ll be nice to go full circle and have a training camp there with my girls.’
More to follow.
