The 28-year-old will join manager Gary Freeman’s coaching staff next season, having recently completed his Uefa ‘B’ Licence with the Bulls boss.

Seviour’s devotion to football coaching is well renowned on the Island. He has a full-time role with the Jersey Football Association as the lead community coach for five- to 11-year-olds, managing and designing an after-school and out-of-term-time coaching sessions. He also manages the Player Development Centre at the JFA for girls aged 11-16 and is the lead coach at the Centre of Excellence. In his spare time, he is a first team coach at St Ouen.

‘It’s an exciting opportunity, especially with where they want progress to,’ said Seviour. ‘We all see the enthusiasm around the club.

‘I’ve known Gary a long time and we’ve had a discussion about it. One thing has led to another and this opportunity opened up for me.

‘I’m now looking forward to sitting with Gary and the rest of the management team and getting plans ready for next season, getting to know the players and enjoying the challenge.’

Seviour confirmed he will continue in his various roles with the JFA after receiving blessing from his bosses to join the Bulls – but he will have to step out of club football at the end of the season.

‘Lucky for me, everyone was supportive of me stepping into this role,’ he added. ‘I’m lucky to have had the opportunities I’ve had at the JFA and that I will continue to have. And it’s great that it has led to me getting more opportunities like this at such a young age.’
