STATES police are appealing for information after a man allegedly harassed a woman and followed her onto a bus last night.
The incident took place on Friday 8 May, initially at Liberty Bus Station, and then on-board the route 1A bus, which departed the station at approximately 6.40pm.
A male was reportedly harassing a female passenger at the bus station. States police said he then followed the female onto the bus, where the disorderly behaviour continued.
Another male passenger intervened to assist the victim. The force said the incident then escalated further, with the suspect reportedly making threats to kill before leaving the bus before its intended destination.
Officers described the suspect as a bald white male, aged between 40 and 50 years, who was wearing an off-white jacket, black trousers, and black shoes.
States police would like to speak with anyone who was present at Liberty Bus Station or travelling on the route 1A bus at the time and who witnessed the incident.
In particular, officers would like to hear from the male and female who intervened to assist the alleged victim.
Anyone who may have seen this or who has any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via the anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
