But it could be touch ago whether conditions will be good enough to sail as wind is forecast for Saturday and Sunday before calming again for Monday and Tuesday when the official racing begins.
Speaking yesterday from Bermuda, team manager David Davies, said: ‘There is no wind here a present but it is forecast to pick up at the weekend before calming down again for Monday and Tuesday.
‘It’s hot, it’s around 30 degrees during the day and around 25 at night.
‘Entries are fewer than we expected, we were anticipating 18 to take part but we’ve now been told that the entry is 14.
‘We have an experienced team who have won many medals over the years so I see no reason why we can not be successful again, both in the individual and team events.’
