In 2011, the Jersey team put on a series of staggering performances to return home with five of the six gold medals on offer. On top of that, the team of seven also picked up one silver and one bronze.
Five of that successful team from the Isle of Wight will be making the trip across the Atlantic next week.
However, one of the star players of that team, Kate Cadigan has moved to New Zealand since the 2011 Games and, as she was not born in Jersey, has lost her residency credentials. Although willing to compete in Bermuda, the Island Games Association has ruled her ineligible.
