JERSEY’S largest political party is inviting Islanders to help shape its vision for the next four years at a public drop-in event this weekend.
Reform Jersey is hosting the session on Saturday 21 February from 12pm to 2pm at the Old Magistrates Court at St Helier Town Hall.
The party says the event will allow members of the public to share ideas and highlight priorities ahead of the upcoming election, as work begins on their next manifesto.
Party leader and Housing Minister Sam Mézec said the session reflects the party’s collaborative approach.
“As a grassroots party that believes in democracy from the ground up, we are pleased to invite the public to come and share their ideas with us for what should be in our next manifesto,” he said.
Deputy Mézec said the manifesto acts as a “contract with the public” and a blueprint for Reform Jersey’s work in the States Assembly.
He made note of previous pledges made by the party that have since become government policy, including enhanced renters’ rights reforms, expanded access to primary healthcare and the introduction of free childcare for two-to-three year olds.
