A TEASER trailer for the second series of Bergerac has been released by UKTV as the BBC Studios-owned broadcaster prepares for Jersey’s most famous detective to return “in the spring”.

Filming for the next instalment of the revamped detective drama concluded in October.

UKTV announced yesterday morning that a teaser trailer had been released “to give viewers a glimpse at what’s in store” ahead of “the hotly anticipated return of Bergerac to U and U&DRAMA in the spring”.

The update comes just a few weeks after it emerged that the first season, which aired in February last year, was watched by 2.4 million viewers across U and U&DRAMA – making it the highest-rating show on the network in 2025.

The new chapter will see Damien Molony return in the lead role of Jim Bergerac, “facing the most challenging case of his career when shocking events unfold at a wedding reception” in Jersey.

Executive producer Brian Constantine said it was “incredibly exciting to see Bergerac returning to our screens this spring”.

He continued: “The response to the first series was fantastic, and season two builds on that in every way, the scale, the emotion and the ambition are all bigger.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with how the new series looks, and Jersey once again plays a vital role as a character in its own right, providing a stunning and atmospheric backdrop to Jim Bergerac’s most challenging case yet.”
