THERE are only a couple of days left to place your votes for your community heroes in the Pride of Jersey awards 2025.

173 nominees over thirteen categories can be voted for this year as part of the 10th anniversary of the community initiative, which is organised by the Jersey Evening Post.

So far, almost 25,000 votes have been cast and Islanders who have until 11.59pm on Sunday to do so.

Organised by the JEP, the initiative aims to recognise individuals or organisations that go the extra mile for their Island community.

Three nominees with the most votes in each category will become finalists. Winners are chosen by a panel of judges from those shortlisted and will be announced at an awards ceremony on 15 October at the Royal Jersey Showground.

Each winner will be presented with a prize worth £1,000 from their category sponsor.

The ceremony will also see the Gary Burgess Award presented to a community champion, with the winner chosen by members of the media and the late broadcaster’s loved ones.
