Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton was officially sworn in as the Island’s new Lieutenant-Governor in the Royal Court on Monday and sat in the States for the first time yesterday.
In a special sitting convened to welcome him, Sir Stephen delivered the first of just two speeches that he will give in the Chamber and said that he was looking forward to sitting in on debates of both local and international importance. His second speech will be during his last sitting in five years’ time.
