So far, Digital Jersey, which is competing with hundreds of other jurisdictions in attempting to make the Island an internationally recognised innovative hub, has been given £500,000, but Senator Alan Maclean said that it could be given much more to achieve its aims.

The independent board of Digital Jersey presented its business plan for 2014 yesterday and said that more than 2,000 jobs would be created in the Island’s digital sector by 2020.

Meanwhile, the Education department are today launching their own digital strategy, which is looking at how IT is going to be taught in schools.
