Environment Minister Rob Duhamel yesterday told a Scrutiny hearing that around £150,000 had been spent investigating three possible sites for a new hospital but all were dropped after Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf decided they were not good enough.
The hospital, Deputy Duhamel said, was one example of money being spent on sites for public sector projects only for them to be dropped because of the Treasury Minister.
He also accused the Treasury of being behind a decision to drop plans for a new police headquarters at the former Summerland factory site because of an argument with staff at Jersey Property Holdings, which administers all States owned sites and buildings.
