The meeting has been called to give the public an opportunity to understand more about Chief Minister Ian Gorst’s proposal for the States to buy the land and to then sell it to the National Trust for Jersey for £2m. The public will also be told about the trust’s intentions if that plan goes ahead.
The trust’s lands manager Jon Horn will give a presentation about the group’s hopes for the area at the meeting which is due to begin at 7.30 pm and has been organised by Senator Gorst and Assistant Chief Minister Philip Bailhache.
St Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft said he was due to speak with the Chief Minister about arrangements for the event to see whether an overflow room was needed.
