They bought the land at Five Oaks in July for an undisclosed sum and now intend to submit a Planning application for a mixture of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, managing director Martin Clancy said.

Jersey Dairy will leave the site in St Saviour next spring. It has occupied the site for 43 years but will move into purpose-built premises at the Royal Jersey Showground in Trinity.

Mr Clancy said that they hoped to complete the project in 18 months. ‘Once again we are raising the bar to provide high-quality residential properties for the Island and more importantly, family homes in an ideal location,’ he said.
