TABLE tennis league players have been rattled by a talented five-year-old who has won two out of his three first league games.

David Quinn shocked spectators, supporters and the opposition when he beat 11-year-old Corey Stewart 3-1 in division IV of the Barclays Wealth Jersey Table Tennis Association League on Sunday, before going on to win his doubles match with seven-year-old Timmy Boulter over Stewart and 13-year-old Andrew Tsang.

Quinn’s father Tom said his son, who is the youngest player ever to have played in the league, is barely tall enough to see over the table – but coach Craig Gascoyne says he is amazed at the youngster’s potential.
