DESPITE the rain, the wind and the crashing waves over the sea wall, nearly 250 people of all ages ran the 3km fun run, organised as part of the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon on Sunday.
The fun run, sponsored by the Jersey Evening Post, included races in four age categories for those who wanted to compete. The men’s event was won overall by Jamie Bara and the women’s by Danielle Johnson, was was running in the 13-15 age category.
The run, started officially by JEP editor Chris Bright, took the runners from the marathon start along the Victoria Avenue seafront and back.
