Their most recent victory, 21-17, 21-18, over Touchstone Flyers’ Chris Beechy and Jean Cross ensured they kept a perfect record, only dropping one set in the second half of the season.

The runner-up position was claimed by Touchstone’s Tim Noel and Jane Cleaver who adjusted to life in the top division with ease following their promotion from Division II at Christmas; they were closely followed in third place by another Jersey pairing, Clive Dunford and Lyndsey Woodward.

Moving up to Division I next year will be Grainville’s Neil and Dimple MacDonald who took a stranglehold of Division II early on in the session and never let up to win by five points.
