Artist Ian Rolls completed the restoration project this week, having braved some extreme winter weather during the past month on site.
Rather than simply reinstating the mural, which was originally unveiled last June but then vandalised over Christmas, Mr Rolls said he had sought to evolve the artwork.
‘The knee-jerk response was just to put it back how it was but then I considered it and took on board some of the views expressed on Facebook and decided to extend the conversation about such an important topic,’ he said.
The new version incorporates key phrases relating to climate change such as renewable energy, reforestation and sustainable transport, as well as pointing people to the new climateconversation.je website.
