All three are among 50 guest real ales and craft beers from across the British Isles that will be on offer next week at Jersey’s annual Beer and Cider Festival, taking place in the People’s Park.
The event will also see the Jersey launch of Thatchers Rosé Cider.
Kicking off on Thursday, after the Jersey International Air Display, the festival, which is held in association with the Liberation Brewery, runs until Saturday evening. As well as the large selection of beers, a range of Thatchers ciders and Bulldog gin will be on offer, with the London Essence Company providing mixers.
A special JEP Hot Off the Press ale is also being brewed especially for the event by Liberation, while there will be live music throughout the festival and a range of street food vendors will run stalls.
Dan Bettinson, the national accounts manager for Thatchers, said that the company was ‘excited’ to be introducing Islanders to a new type of cider at the event.
‘At this year’s festival we’re launching our new Thatchers Rosé Cider, which will now be available to pubs and bars in Jersey,’ he said.
‘Thatchers Rosé is made with a blend of naturally sweet, rosy red apples. We’ll also bringing a range of our traditional ciders and favourites such as Thatchers Haze and Thatchers Rascal.’
Laura Bignall, of the London Essence Company, said that she was ‘delighted’ to be bringing the company’s range of ‘premium mixers’ to the Island.
‘The London Essence Company uses traditional distillation techniques to create light and elegant drinks for the 21st century,’ she said.
‘Using distilled essences, imagination and input from leading bartenders, we’ve crafted a range of carefully calibrated mixers with a contemporary edge. Our entire collection is delicately light and low in calories.’
Julie Settle, of JEP sister company EC Events, which is organising the festival, said that much more beer had been bought for this year.
‘We’ve brought in significantly more kegs of real ale and cider this year because we know how much Islanders love their beer and cider, and that was proven by the success of last year’s event,’ she said.
‘We’re looking forward to a really great event, which this year can be enjoyed after Islanders have finished watching the Jersey International Air Display.’
Tickets, which cost £10 per person and include a complimentary drink, are available on the door or online at eventbrite.co.uk.
