Firefighters were taking part in a joint exercise with Jersey Coastguard and the RNLI when they were diverted to the scene at about midday on Thursday.
On arrival crews stabilised the vehicle and freed the driver using a hydraulic cutting equipment.
Crews assisted the States police and Ambulance Service to make the vehicle and scene safe. The driver was checked over by paramedics at the scene.
