AN EARTHQUAKE of 1.7 magnitude rumbled Jersey in the early hours of Saturday morning, the latest data from the British Geological Survey has shown.
The quake struck at a depth of 6km at around 1.42am, according to the data, and the epicentre was around 9km off shore south-south east of the Island.
Small tremors were “felt” in Jersey, experts added.
