TWO former junior internationals and an Australian winger were among those unveiled as Jersey Reds recruits this morning, as preparations for 2022/23 gather momentum.

Welsh back Tomi Lewis, who has represented his country at under-18, U20 at sevens, is set to make a move from Scarlets to St Peter this summer while prop Sam Grahamslaw – an England U18 and Scotland U20 cap – joins following a spell with Edinburgh.

The Championship club have also secured the services of wing Ben Woollett, from Sydney-based club Warringah, and hooker James Hadfield is setting a course for the Channel Islands having played for Richmond.

Prop Monty Weatherby, who played for the Reds in a mid-season friendly against Ayrshire Bulls this term, has also penned a deal.

Up to 15 new signings are believed to have agreed to join the club for next season, joining a list of 24 players who have remained following the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign.

The Reds are set to play three pre-season friendlies in August and September – all against Premiership opposition. London Irish and Bath are both bound for the Island following Jersey’s clash against another top tier side. Details for that fixture have yet to be confirmed.
