JERSEY REDS scored seven tries in defeating visiting Scottish Super6 side Ayrshire Bulls.

The friendly match helped the Reds fill the gap between league and cup campaigns while serving as a warm-up for the semi-professional Scottish side ahead of their forthcoming campaign.

Ryan Olowofela scored twice for the hosts as they attacked with the wind at their back in the first half, with Scott Van Breda, Harry Simmons and TJ Harris also crossing to help build up a 31-14 half-time lead. Bobby Beattie and Cam Jones claimed tries for the Bulls.

The second half was a closer contest featuring two tries apiece: Jack Macfarlane and Tom Pittman for the Reds, Rhodri Tanner and Joe Knight for the visitors.

Homegrown backs George Daniels and Scott McClurg, both of Reds Athletic, were handed appearances for the first XV.
