ST Clement First close the gap on Premiership 1 league leaders Jersey Wanderers following a double-header with St Brelade, collecting four points in the process. Thursday night saw St Clement’s win 3-1 under the faulty Les Quennevais lights, whilst Saturday’s return fixture was a goalless draw.
Rozel Rovers and Sporting Academics remain unbeaten in Premiership 2, while Grouville Reserves went top of Championship 1.
In Championship 2, First Tower and St Ouen’s secured big wins as Trinity Reserves and St John Reserves drew 2-2.

Despite a lack of goals, this clash had everything else. Both goalkeepers delivered standout performances, ensuring St Brelade ended the week with only a point to show for their efforts.
From the opening whistle, chances arrived thick and fast. The first fell to the Anchors, with Connor Maher dragging a shot narrowly wide before a teasing Bruno Da Silva cross just eluded the head of Karl Hinds.
Moments later, St Clement’s goalkeeper Pierce Roche was called into action. A clever clipped pass from Will Yates released Leighton Gilroy, but the winger’s right-footed strike was smartly denied.
The best chance of the first half fell to Hinds. A bouncing through ball put the striker clean through, but his attempted lob over the retreating Tyler Quinn was misjudged, landing safely in the keeper’s arms.
With both sides unable to capitalise on their opportunities, the first half ended goalless, leaving both sides frustrated at the stalemate.
The second half brought fresh energy after a wave of substitutions. St Brelade introduced Tom Harris and Kushal Frankson, while St Clement turned to the experienced Mark Logue to steady midfield.
Yates then went close early in the half, unleashing a thunderous strike from the edge of the box that had Roche beaten, only to see it flash narrowly wide.
At the other end, Quinn again proved vital for St Brelade, producing a sharp save with his feet to deny Maher. With the match hanging in the balance, St Clement made their final change, introducing danger man Matthew Rawlings for Darren Coyle.
But it was St Brelade’s bench that carried the greater threat in the closing stages. The returning Leighton Gilroy, alongside Jack Gibson and Leo Figuera, injected pace and urgency as the visitors pressed for a winner.
As fatigue crept in with ten minutes to play, both sides still feeling the effects of their midweek fixtures, St Brelade carved out the better openings. A long clearance from Quinn released Frankson, who held the ball up well before feeding Gilroy, only for the winger to skew his shot wide.
Gilroy had another golden chance moments later, breaking clear with Yates in support. Opting to go alone, his finish lacked conviction and Roche gathered comfortably.
The game’s defining moment arrived in the 89th minute. Figuera delivered a pinpoint cross for Gibson, whose low strike seemed destined for the bottom corner, only for Roche to produce a stunning save low to his right.
Both goalkeepers left with plaudits as the contest ended goalless, a match rich in drama but ultimately without a decisive breakthrough.
St Clement secured bragging rights on Thursday night with a 3-1 victory over St Brelade, despite another hiccup with the floodlights at Les Quennevais.
Maher’s first-half strike gave the Yellows the advantage, before second-half goals from Darren Coyle and Karl Hinds put the result beyond doubt. Will Yates pulled one back for St Brelade, but it proved only a consolation.
In Premiership 2, Rozel Rovers First extended their fine run with a resounding 7-1 win over Trinity First, keeping them top of the table. Stan Heynes led the charge with a brace in a man-of-the-match performance, while Siphmabili Dennis Nksosiphile also netted twice. Luke Heynes, George Sheehy and Ned Dixon added further goals, with Jakub Batkowski replying for Trinity.
Sporting Academics made it back-to-back victories as they beat Sports Club of Jersey 4-1 at Les Quennevais. Phillip Quinn struck twice, supported by goals from Diogo Franca and Jamie Savory, to strengthen their foothold in the division.
Meanwhile, St John First recorded their first win of the campaign in emphatic fashion, dismantling St Lawrence 6-2 away from home. Daniel Stevens bagged a brace, with Rickkie Rand, Ciaran Devereux, Christian De Oliveira and Sam English also on the scoresheet. Liam Duxbury and Callum Henderson replied for a St Lawrence side still searching for their first win of the season.
In Championship 2, Grouville Reserves claimed top spot with a 3-1 win over St Clement Reserves, thanks to an Andre Nunes hat-trick. Adam Falle scored for St Clement, but Nunes’ treble proved decisive in securing Grouville’s third victory of the season.
Elsewhere, First Tower United climbed the table with a 5-2 win against Grouville C. Ben Hagin and Rafael Oliveira both struck twice in the first half, while substitute Emmanuel Ansah completed the scoring late on.
St Ouen’s C mirrored that scoreline, defeating ten-man Rozel Rovers Reserves 5-1. Goals from James Dunn, Shane Carre, James McMillan, Luca Macaoine and Ethan Young sealed the win after Jayden Trevor’s dismissal left the visitors with a mountain to climb. Luis Murtagh netted the consolation.
Finally, Trinity Reserves and St John Reserves shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Liam Irwin and Bryan Kiama netted for Trinity, while Andrew Kearsey and Rhys Palmer struck for St John to ensure the points were split.
