JERSEY Bulls Women maintained their perfect start to life in the South East Counties Women’s Football League Surrey Division One with another convincing home victory, beating Ash United 6-1 at Springfield on Sunday.
Having dispatched Old Tiffinians 7-0 in their debut league fixture, the Bulls once again showed their quality in front of goal, though the contest was heavily shaped by circumstances.
The visitors were only able to travel with nine players, leaving themselves without substitutes, while the Bulls had the luxury of seven on the bench.

The hosts quickly imposed themselves on the game and it took just 17 minutes for Anita Tavares to open the scoring with a neat finish across goal.
Shortly after, substitute Sam Silva made an immediate impact, volleying home a cross from Tiffany Sundby to double the advantage.
Captain Holly Sundby then took centre stage, unleashing a thunderbolt into the top-right hand corner from 25 yards for 3-0, before Tavares added her second straight from the restart.
Sundby struck again on the stroke of half-time with a curled effort into the far corner to make it 5-0.
An electric first half performance from the hosts saw them go into the half-time break with a comfortable advantage.
Ash United, to their credit, reshuffled at the break and their replacement goalkeeper produced a string of fine saves to limit the damage.
Sundby did complete her hat-trick on 63 minutes, smashing home from close range, but the second half was far more even as Ash dug deep despite their numerical disadvantage.
The visitors were rewarded for their persistence when Hannah Sutch grabbed a consolation in the 72nd minute, slotting past Malta in the Bulls’ goal.
Jersey continued to press, with substitutes Emily Le Page, Soraya De Conceicao and Sophie Thornton all going close, but the scoreline remained 6-1 at full-time.
It was a result built on a dominant first-half display, leaving the Bulls with two wins from two and a combined scoreline of 13-1 as their inaugural league campaign gathers momentum.
