Jersey cycling officials to visit Gibraltar for Games talks

The British Overseas Territory only named 12 sports in their provisional bid document after stepping in for original hosts Menorca, but with 14 spots available GIGA president Linda Alvarez said in October that both volleyball and cycling could yet be added.

It now looks unlikely that volleyball will be handed a lifeline due to facility shortages, but there is still hope for cycling and mountain biking, with Jersey 2015 officials Andy Hamon and Steve Lowthorpe due to fly out in May to offer their advice.
