But they, like their senior counterparts, were undone in 2014 by punishing offensive play as Guernsey claimed a 67-49 victory before a completing a 65-9 demolition of Jersey’s Ladies and a hard fought 89-65 success in the Men’s tie.
Jersey’s U17s did triumph, however, with a superb 60-38 scoreline in the day’s first encounter giving the hosts temporary hope for a fruitful day on court.
