The Old Victorian has been in North America for the last couple of months competing for world ranking points as he aims for a place in the Great Britain bobsleigh team for Sochi 2014 (7-23 February).
In order to be eligible for selection Golder, who is currently GB’s number three bob driver, must be ranked in the world’s top 20; a big ask as his final ranking at the end of last season was 52nd.
Even if he does get into the top 20 there is still no guarantee he will be selected as one of the two GB drivers to travel to Russia.
