A restructure of the club’s officials was put in place at an extraordinary meeting recently with Dave Ferguson taking the president’s position for the second time.
Ferguson, who held office previously between 2006 and 2011, said: ‘The Jersey Surfboard Club is the oldest surfing club in Europe and it’s something we are extremely proud of so it’s very important that we continue.
‘We are also linked to the European Surf Federation so we are keen to maintain our association with them so that members can compete in their competitions.’
