The 24-year-old British champion, who competes in two man and four man bobsleigh, contested the second tier Europa Cup last season. However, this season he has the chance to take a step up onto the elite level of bobsleigh competition.

The development comes following the announcement of Great Britain’s crews for the 2012/2013 season.

John Jackson pilots the GB1 crew that is guaranteed a place in the World Cup while Golder, heading GB2, and Lamin Deen, in charge of GB3, face a race for the second spot. Olly Biddulph drives the GB4 junior crew.
