Commonwealth of sharpshooters descend on Jersey

Nine countries are being represented in 27 different competitions – a high number of events for a championship.

Jersey clubs are allowing the use of their indoor and outdoor ranges and facilities and shooters will be aiming high to win medals across various clay, rifle and pistol disciplines.

The championships have been running since 1974 and Jersey is staging them for the ninth time.

Competition starts today at the Lecq Clay Target Club with the first detail of the double trap beginning at 9 am.
