Jersey win shooting inter-insular

In challenging conditions, the Jersey team won the inter-inslar match by just four points .

‘Conditions were undeniably the toughest we’ve faced this season,’ said Jersey coach David Le Quesne. ‘The shooters had to deal with their rifles being buffeted from left to right, resulting in a few wide shots for which neither the shooters nor the coach could be blamed.

I’m delighted with how we coped on the day, and another win puts us in great shape heading to Bisley in a month’s time.’

The Channel Islands championship was also strongly contested and was won by Guernsey’s Peter Jory.
