Whoever wins the World Outdoor Champion of Champions title on Sunday will have earned the accolade, after a gruelling week at the Kowloon Bowling Green Club and Kowloon Cricket Club.
Yesterday’s narrow loss to Portugal’s Kath Hewitson, who returned a 7-7, 8-7 scorecard, was Bisson’s eighth match, and only her second defeat – and she bounced back to beat Zimbabwe’s Debbie Robertson, 7-7, 8-6.
The scorelines tell the story – shots were indeed hard to come by in both matches, but Bisson’s difficulties were compounded by the fact that the greens were flooded overnight, and the tricky surface at KCC has become a constant topic of conversation.
