Leading players keen to follow Guernsey

St Paul FC’s Mark Lucas, who won the top players’ accolade in 2009, is adamant that the move should be made and, while he feels it may well damage one or two clubs initially, he does feel it would be for the betterment of the game.

Lucas has the support of club colleague and Jersey Muratti captain Stuart André and Jersey Wanderers’ Ben Gallichan, the current Dandara Jersey Football Combination player of the year.

Lucas said: ‘We are talking about Guernsey FC and what they are doing at training at St Paul’s and I feel we should be looking to do what they are doing.’
