WAITROSE employee David Quinn has been nominated for the Customer Service Employee of the Year award for the second year in a row – after being “overlooked for too long”.

Michael Sampson said that Mr Quinn is “an outstanding credit to customer service”.

Mr Quinn works at Waitrose in St Saviour, where many of his customers “have become his friends” and will only go to his checkout when doing their shopping.

Mr Sampson described Mr Quinn as a “true man of the people” who is a credit to the Waitrose brand.

The worker is always helpful to anyone who asks him a question and is a “brilliant example of quality service”, he added.
