A CHARITY fashion show featuring pre-loved and upcycled clothing will take place tomorrow, with Jersey College for Girls students helping to put sustainability and community at the heart of the event.

Year 12 Fashion and Textiles students from JCG have been working on a community project with Autism Jersey and The Good Companions Club charity shops ahead of the event at The Good Companions Club in St Clement.

The students have been designing, modelling and styling a range of outfits using pre-loved clothing sourced from the two charity shops.

Some of the garments have been creatively upcycled and transformed by the students, while other outfits have been carefully styled from existing pieces. The clothing featured in the show will also be available to purchase on the evening.

The charity shops will present their own fashion collections as part of the event, giving audiences the chance to see how pre-loved clothing can be given a new lease of life.

The fashion show is being organised jointly by the Rotary Club of Jersey and Rotary Club de la Manche, with proceeds going towards Autism Jersey and The Good Companions Club.

As well as the fashion show, guests will be able to enjoy canapés and refreshments, with a raffle also taking place during the evening.

The event gets under way at 7pm and runs until 9.30pm at The Good Companions Club in St Clement.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for students.

Tickets can be obtained by emailing madeleinedelacour1959@gmail.com or tracylinney@icloud.com.
