ISLANDERS looking to swap Jersey for Brittany – or hop across to Alderney – will once again have a direct route this summer as a seasonal air link returns after a successful debut last year.
Brittany-based regional airline Finistair said that the service between Jersey, Brest and Alderney, will operate from 5 June to 27 September with the same schedule and operating days as in 2025.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday [3 April] at 10am via the Finistair website.
The continuation of the flights, which will be operated on Fridays and Sundays using Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft, follows the agreement reached between the States of Alderney, the Government of Jersey and Ports of Jersey in a bid to develop sustainable regional connectivity.
In a statement, Finistair said: “We are happy to bring back this summer route for a second year.
“The success of our 2025 season confirmed that there is a real demand for direct, accessible connections between Brittany and the Channel Islands.
“We look forward to welcoming even more passengers on board in 2026.”
Economic Development Minister Kirsten Morel said: “We value the historic, mutually beneficial connections between the Channel Islands and Brittany, and we remain committed to strengthening international connectivity for islanders and our regional partners.
“That’s why we’re delighted to renew this partnership with our friends in Alderney and Brest for an extended trial in summer 2026 and wish Finistair every success.”
