SOME of the brightest young entrepreneurs in Jersey were celebrated at the first-ever Young Entrepreneurship Awards earlier this month.
Seven young innovators aged 14-18 presented their business ideas to a panel of judges and successful local entrepreneurs.
The awards ceremony, held at the United Club, was the culmination of a year-long YEA programme to equip local students with an entrepreneurial mindset and practical skills to develop their ideas from early concepts into fully formed pitches.
The initiative was created in partnership with Learn.je and NatWest International.
The 2025 Award Winners included two students from Hautlieu School, Giles and Tiara, as well as Sienne from Jersey College for Girls.
As preparations begin for the 2026 cohort, Learn.je and NatWest International are inviting local businesses, professionals, and community members to get involved through mentorship, sponsorship and school participation.
“The YEA is more than a competition, it’s a transformative journey,” said Victoria Li, founder and director of Learn.je.
She continued: “Students discover who they are, what they care about, and the kind of impact they want to create. The final pitches showcased not only entrepreneurial talent but also courage, empathy, and original thinking.”
Andrew Larose of NatWest International added: “By supporting this programme, we aim to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs and foster a culture of financial literacy and economic growth.”
Applications for the scheme will open for students in the spring.
