A MAN has been arrested by the States police after a group of young Islanders was allegedly assaulted at Liberation bus station.
The police are appealing for information about the incident which happened at around 8.50pm on Wednesday.
A man is said to have approached six male youths who had just disembarked a bus and used “inappropriate language and conduct towards them” near the station’s toilets.
When one of the youths tried to leave, the man allegedly took hold of his wrists and punched him in the face. When other youths intervened, two more are said to have been assaulted by the man who the police said was “displaying erratic and concerning behaviours”.
A man was subsequently arrested.
The police described the suspect as a white male, around 30-years-old, wearing a dark blue T-shirt, turquoise shorts, black trainers and with short brown hair.
