TWO new food-and-drink outlets are to open at the Waterfront Horizon development.
Both units – on the ground floor of the Jersey Development Company apartment complex – will be run by Lily-Rose Fenn, daughter of Sarah Ransom, who runs the tea room at Ransoms Garden Centre.
One of the outlets, in Horizon East, will become a “relaxed, casual eatery” offering “family favourites” and “bakes and cakes” to eat in or take away.
The other, in Horizon West, will be an all-day restaurant and bar with al-fresco dining.
Lee Henry, chief executive of the JDC, said: “Lily-Rose’s close links and family connections to a very local, and widely respected family hospitality business – along with some ideas from around the world – fits perfectly with JDC’s ethos of placemaking and creating sustainable communities.
“JDC’s ambition is to transform St Helier’s Waterfront into an engaging and active destination where people can live, work and play.”
Ms Fenn added: “I plan to celebrate my Island roots, while also bringing fresh ideas – inspired by my travels and time spent working in hospitality in London. I can’t wait to welcome our community.”
All but four of the 280 Horizon apartments have now been sold, and the Waterfront is now home to about 2,000 residents.
