Les Quennevais head teacher to take over at St George’s Prep from September

THE head teacher of Les Quennevais has been appointed to lead St George’s Preparatory School from next September.

Sarah Hague will take over from the current head, Cormac Timothy, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Mrs Hague has been head teacher at the St Brelade’s secondary school for ten years.

She was described as having a “proven track record in educational leadership, student achievement and effective change management” in a press release announcing her new appointment.

Paul James, chair of the St George’s School Board, said: “Sarah is a highly experienced head teacher who will bring so much to the team and the school community, as has been evidenced by the amazing

job that she has done as head teacher at Les Quennevais School over the last decade.”

He added: “As Cormac retires at the end of this school year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for his dedicated service and impactful leadership.”

The board said the appointment followed a “comprehensive and competitive” recruitment process.

Ms Hague said: “I am truly honoured to join St George’s and am excited to contribute to its rich legacy of academic excellence. My vision is to continue to foster the school’s nurturing and innovative learning environment where every student thrives.

“Of course, I will miss Les Quennevais School’s vibrant community deeply. I have had the privilege of witnessing tremendous dedication and passion among both students and colleagues over the years there.”
